Sunk down in a small valley surrounded by natural springs, you’ll find our farm hustling and bustling with noise and happiness. Our farmette started slow with just a dog, but like they say, you can never have just one! So we expanded to chickens, then cows, then goats and now we are home to over 60 sweet, but noisy, animals!

What will you find around the farm, you may ask?

If you look in the barn you will find animals, big and small. If you look in the garden you’ll see sprouts of every kind. If you look in the backyard, you’ll find a pond with a row boat. If you look in the pasture you’re sure to find cows with hair that hangs down to their knees. But want to know something? If you look even closer, behind the wood, and the noise, and the fur, you’ll see the workings of the farm- you’ll see the laughter that makes the garden grow. You’ll see the determination that gets our animals fed everyday. You’ll see the energy bubbling over when the kids are taking over the farm. But most importantly, you’ll see love; a love that radiates from every inch of this farm, a love that welcomes new friends to explore and also comforts the animals living here everyday. Yes, I promise, you’ll see a lot of things here on the farm but we hope the thing you see the most is love.

Before we were here…..

There was a very old farm house here, built in the 1800’s with outbuildings and all the workings of a farm. We had big dreams of redoing this farm house and making it ours, filling its walls with more stories and history than it already had. But much to our dismay, after gutting the inside down to the beams, we found the termites made their home inside long before anyone knew about it. The beams were rotten beyond repair so a local fellow came and worked his magic. He tore down the house piece by piece, in my head it was story by story— because well that’s what truly builds a house— and salvaged what he could. He took the beams and built smaller things, more intricate things; while it wasn’t what we were hoping for, the beams were given a 2nd life and we were able to create a small house perfect for our loving farm!
